My Huwawe P8 lite 2017 has only 16gb internal storage and is starting to limit what I can keep installed app wide.

I'm on giff-gaff, as is the rest of the family.

I'm looking at what I've can upgrade to, research is pointing me to a Moto G6 plus.

Has anyone got any views?

Not looking to pay more than £250 and I'd put camera quality up as one of my main requirements. I play golf once a week and do like to take course shots and videos.

Any input appreciated.

We recently bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 for my wife - base model with 3GB/32GB and what seems a decent camera. I was really impressed at the electronic video stabilisation, and how effective it seemed. Screen is great, ditto battery life, and the whole thing seems nicely made. Reckon on £125-£140 for the 3/32GB version or around £150-£160 for the 4/64GB version, from Gearbest (get the global model, NOT the China or international versions). Also consider the newer version Redmi Note 6 for a little more or the Mi 8 Lite for around £215 (6/128GB) from eglobalcetral, or the Pocophone 6/64 for around £225.

BTW does your phone not have a micro SD slot?

Quick look on Gearbest:

Mi A2 Lite 4/64GB for about £150 & shipped in Europe (2-4 day delivery) https://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_009486371449.html?wid=1101231

Pocophone 6/64 for around £268 shipped from China https://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_009729060225.html?wid=1349303

Both have band 20 that we need to use Giffgaff LTE 4G.

I have been looking at getting a phone for my daughter and have settled for the Mi A2 Lite, runs android and looks like a good spec phone for a good price.

iPhone 6 should be getting near that now, was£300 a few months back. The 7 was £600 and now £450

Thanks I'll take a look at the phones you recommend.

Yes my current phone has a micro SD slot and that's where photos, videos etc are saved too - but it seems most of the apps have to download and install to the phone's memory :(

I have a moto G4 as does my wife, both simm free and have never missed a beat and does everything we want and is not full of bloatware
The G6 is £199.00 direct from lenovo , has dual simm slots, micro SD and can store pix etc on the sd with no problem

If you can find a few more pounds the Huawei P10 is a cracking phone with a Leica lensed camera.

The Pocophone does seem to have a very good camera!

TBH the Pocophone is really a flagship at a bargain price., and I agree that the camera looks pretty decent in that comparison.
