Hi guys, I'm after a bit of advice please.

Before we got burgled and my laptop was taken I was using Lightroom for all my pp which was fine and I'd just about got used to what sliders/buttons did what etc.
Until I can buy a new personal laptop, I've had permission from work to install software on my works laptop. The software must be licensed so as not to breach company policy.
So, this weekend I intend to go shopping to purchase some software, but, which would you recommend ? Budget isn't great at the minute, but if I need to pay out more then so be it, I can install the software on my new personal laptop at a later date (as I'm led to believe you get 3 installs per disc)?

Sorry if this has been asked/discussed before.

Thanks for any advice.
Rich

I won't quote your post so as not to exacerbate the problem, but really????

Buy Lightroom, pay for it this time and move on.

Lightroom's about £100. If you use it, pay for it.

I'll stick to Lightroom then, thanks.

The only reason I used a friends crack copy was because I'd just started out and didn't want to pay a fortune (on top of what I'd paid for my camera gear) for something I wasn't sure how to use or even if I would use it at all. Stop the smarmy moral high ground comments please, I don't see the need ! As I've mentioned in my original post, I'm PURCHASING some software now that I have got the hang of things.

Thanks

You know you can download a free 30 day trial copy of Lightroom for just that purpose.

If your installing on work and home computers you might want to check for compatabillity (I know one BIG company still on windows 95)
