Best shows on Prime/Netflix?

It took me 3 days.... Love this series, can't wait for another.

I think Kerri Russell and Rufus are very well cast, but I'm struggling a little with Ato Essandoh, I feel like he is out of his comfort zone for this role, whereas in Blood Diamond he was excellent. That character with the bow tie...wtf, no, just no! lol But very much enjoying it.

Amazon Prime: Paris Has Fallen

Don't be put off by the cheesy artwork, the first episode was brilliant and I'm really hoping it continues as I work through the remaining episodes. Good production values and acting plus the audio is amazing, especially if you've got a surround system as it makes very good use of it.

Last episode spoiled it a little

Arcane Season 2 has appeared on Netflix. Season 1 had passed me by somehow, so I'm playing catchup.
I've got to say, the animation is sumptuous and apparently, season 2 is even better.
Storyline is OK and so far, it's a good watch

I've just started the last season of The Bureau on Paramount+ and have thoroughly enjoyed it so far.

Apparently, the Americans are doing a remake, so get in quick before they ruin it with their usual 'dumbing down' - I'm accessing Paramount+ through Amazon Prime.

Watch it in French as the dubbing is always awful . . .

Have I mentioned KLEO?

German black comedy/drama.... badly dubbed but brilliant for it.

Uwe Mittig is my spirit animal.

NetFlix: A Quiet Place.

Nice concept and I've always liked John Krasinski, especially in Jack Ryan. A fair few jump scares. Started the second one now.

I saw an ad for A Man on the Inside on Netflix with Ted Danson, saw that it was getting 7.3/10, so thought I would give it a go. It's a gentle comedy/mystery, and I really enjoyed it. Still got 3 episodes to watch.

Black Doves is worth a watch
It’s ludicrous but good fun, in a brain-off way. Very good cast even though I find a 6 stone wringing wet Keira Knightly a bit hard to accept when she’s fighting and beating trained assassins.

Just finished Fool Me Once. Some unexpected twists and whilst there are a few unrealistic moments, it's generally a decent watch. Has a very BBC production feel to it.

I think the series went under the radar for a lot of people and I hadn't paid any attention to it initially either since I'm not a fan of League of Legends. However when I saw people wanting to get into the game because they'd enjoyed the series so much I gave it a go and was extremely impressed with it, the animation style really stands out and it's coupled with great audio, good characters and a unique setting. I was concerned they wouldn't be able to match it for the second series however I thought it was a fantastic watch as well.

They deserve a lot of credit for making such a great job of a video game franchise. For those not familiar with the series it's still extremely enjoyable and for those that are fans of the game, they appreciate seeing characters from the game and the universe brought to life

I'm currently hooked on Day of the Jackal and can't wait for the finale in a couple of days.

I'm enjoying Season 2 of The Diplomat on Netflix
I have started watching Season 1 on this recommendation. While I am enjoying the general story, I do not find many of the characters realistic. Although Americans may not be well known for diplomacy, the use of an F word every few minutes is very unrealistic. In episode 2, the number of F words must have been many times the total I would normally hear in a year.

lioness season 2 has been good

also Landman wooooa that is very good

Black Doves is worth a watch
We've been enjoying this, but it's just got too far fetched. I hope the next episode is better.

Not sure if I'm behind the times, but I really enjoyed Ted Lasso on Apple TV (free subscription at the moment). Felt quite bereft when it was over.

Silo season 2 is not bad as well

Quality to quantity wise Apple TV is by far the best.
Not watched a bad show yet.
Invasion
Foundation
Blackbird
Silo
Slow horses
Masters of the air
See
Platonic
The mosquito coast
We’re all great.

I hear
Presumed innocent

ted lasso
severance
We’re also ment to be very good, but haven’t got around to watching any of them yet.

Heretic | Amazon Prime (£)

The performances by Hugh Grant, Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East were very good with a great atmosphere and audio effects. Quite thought provoking as well.

Disney | Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

Still in two minds and this.

I've purposely stayed away from the YT views of it to make up my own mind, but I am liking it. I'm intrigued to see how it ends.

I was surprised to see Jude Law, as I went into the series blind. It's enjoyable so far, but that elephant character Neel is a little annoying.

I think all the kids are little bit annoying in different ways, but that is the risk you take with kids. I don't feel that any of them, apart from Wim, was given much of a distinct character or back story at the beginning, and we haven't added much depth to their characters because of the pretty constant action each week so far.

Jude Law's character was meant to be enigmatic. and we seem to be learning more about him.

For me it has been way better than The Acolyte. In this at least, the characters seem to act pretty logically and consistent, not something that can be said about The Acolyte imho.:headbang:

Like I said, it will be interesting to see how they end it. :)

I wonder if The Acolyte was the one I watched for about 10 mins then switched off? The last part I remember was a scene in space where two of them were fixing something outside the space ship or station and I think there was an explosion or electrocution. The CGI was terrible. The acting was terrible. I switched off lol

The Earth Abides an interesting watch
not action but worth an evening of binge

I bing watched Squid Game 2 over the past couple days

Has anyone watched 'The walk in'? [mini series] or 'Carry on' [movie]

The Walk in was amazing, first few minutes of first episode a very tough watch, highly recommend it.
Oddly i met Stephen graham and his entire family when they popped into my shop a year ago.

Yeah I like him as an actor, he's been in so many good shows and movies. I think I'll give it a go, cheers

Just started SAS: Rogue Heroes on iPlayer. Unconventional style but kind of liking it. Good cast.

Edit: improves considerably in following episodes.
