Best shows on Prime/Netflix?

Loving The Witcher at the moment,
I've been Umming and Ahhhing over this for awhile, it does seem to be getting good reviews, I guess I'll have to dip my toe in and see what's what..

If you like your fantasy tales with a good story, excellent production values and a lashing of gruesome violence - should be good.

That's right up my street (y)

Three times in two months Prime have switched a series I've been watching to PAID. Extremely annoying.

Netflix was boring me but this year has started well, in particular more seasons of Impractical Jokers. For some reason this one has me in stitches every time!

Not to mention a nice pair of knockers occasionally appearing.

I've started watching it, I must say I was disappointed it was 10 mins and a few seconds in before the first boobs appeared :(

On episode 4 of Homecoming, not quite sure what to make of it, intriguing though.
Also been watching Berlin Station and might give Treadstone a go when it appears on Prime later this month.

Juts watched the crime documentary 'Dont F*** with Cats' on Netflix, incredible story, well worth a watch.

I have to say Im on about episode 4 and I havent detected any evidence of a story yet. Does one eventually start?

That's what Yennefer's boobs are for! Frequent and distracting. Haha. Second half of season has more of the main arcs. Moved on The Boys now which, bar Karl Urban's 'British' accent and Simon Pegg's American accent, is another great and gruesome watch.

Episode 7 is quite good ... I didn't see that coming...
As for the rest Meh!

Wanting something to watch last night, my son was given the job of finding something on Netflix to watch and in the end we plumped for 'Don't f**k with cats'.

That lasted for five minutes at the most before I switched to the safety of 'The Crown'.

Some reviews I’ve read have described it as the 'most shocking thing they’ve ever seen on tv'.

Not for me I don’t think.

Are they graphic with cat violence lol? I love cats, love gory films/TV but am a complete wuss when it comes to animals getting hurt

Star Trek Picard was pretty good (pilot).

My son bought me an Amazon stick for Christmas. I've already done all of Treadstone and The Expanse. We also enjoyed the Jack Ryan series on Netflix. So, with those in mind, anything else we should be looking at?

The Boys (brilliant twist on the superhero trope), Star Trek - Picard (new Star Trek, only first episode has aired but was decent), The Man in A High Castle (dystopian alternate Earth where the Nazis won), Bosch (heard it's a great cop show), The Americans (spy drama)

Cheers, will dig those out...

A Bit different to Treadstone but This is Us is a brilliant series. Well worth a watch.

Better Than Us, a Russian made series similar to Humans is worth a watch.
It loses a bit in the middle episodes but improves after that.
Episode 16 leaves you on a cliffhanger but they haven't started filming series 3 (series 1 is episodes1 to 8)

There is a trailer out on youtube for Stranger Things season 4. Hopefully it won't be too long before that comes up on Netflix.

Bosch. Absolutely brilliant, now into season 3 and we only found it about 2 weeks ago.

More like this would be nice.

Tried Hanna, seems very slow to me. Trying to get into "The Man in the High Castle" but it's not proving easy (The Mrs gave up with it...)

Lol was just about to say the same thing after coming across season 1 at the weekend, but yeah Bosch is definitely worth a watch.

Watched season 1 of The Crossing on Prime over the weekend. Hopefully there will be more to come.

We're watching Abyss and loving it :D

If it hasn't been mentioned before... It's a Korean fantasy/drama with some funny and some extremely violent moments. A young man intending to commit suicide encounters strange beings who revive him and give him the Abyss, a thing which can bring anything dead back to life. Will it all go wrong?

The funny bits are funny and so is the product placement :D

May not be to everyone’s taste but was recently recommended to me and I really enjoyed it

Sex Education on Netflix it’s really rather good even if a little too Americanised considering it’s a British cast and filming location and also a little odd in that it seems only to used older cars

Think its on Netflix (I am on Sky and its on there too) - Babylon Berlin. Set in 1929 its slightly weird, lots of interesting plot lines and fascinating!

The Frankenstein Chronicles on Netflix
Not what I was expecting,TBH not the usual run of the mill "Monster" tale.
Lots of twists and turns, well worth a watch IMO

Sean Bean plays a good lead too.

Not sure if its still available on iplayer but "Wisting", a Norwegian drama was absolutely brilliant.
Great plot twists right until the end...(y)

Latest NF viewing:

The Platform [film] - interesting take on human greed - so long as you enjoy the dark and gorey.

Tiger King: what is is about people who own big cats? they're always a bit nuts! I wondered why so many episodes for this, but the more I watch [ep-6 atm] the crazier it gets.

Better Call Saul: I'm up to ep-6 on the latest season [5]
