I am looking for some info, my rechargeable batteries are about done and are to be replaced. Has anybody got any recomendations.Somebody mentioned to me that the new Sony ones are good and have a long charge life.
I have tried many different types of rechargeables over the years and the biggest problem I had was that because I dont use the equipment all that often they are dead when I go to use them.
That is until I bought a few set of the Good 2 Go batteries from 7DayShop. They hold there charge well (set in Canon 430EXII flashgun stil recharged in under 5 seconds after 2 months). I think they are similar to the Eneloops which I have also heard good reports about.
I've found 7 Day Shop, Hahnel and Hama are all pretty good. I've got some NiZN batteries as well which recycle nice and quickly but I've found that they've started to lose their capacity after a year of use.
I have just started using Eneloops...so far so good.
Amongst the others I have had less success with Duracell and Uniross however have had much better success with Energisers holding charge and performing better from my experience.
And another vote for the Sanyo Eneloops. Also, Uniross Hybrio batteries are good. I think they are re-branded Eneloops or at least build on the same technology.
I can vouch for Maha MH-C801D charger. Have been using it for about 5 years now, never had any problems. Takes 8 AA or AAA batteries and charges them individually. The information LCD is also a nice touch.
I got a few 7day shop 2700 mah and 1500 mah they seem to do the trick. Only chose them because of price, bit of a bargain basement site, but decent quality stuff. Got a smart universal charger from them too for about £7. Can't argue with it, does the job perfectly.
