Edit My Images
Yes
Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good printer who i can send my photos to when needed to be printed at A4

Many Thanks
Chris

I would recommend photobox usually, but there has been alot of bad press regarding quality recently. Try togsprint.com Lee and his crew are a little more expensive, but there service is spot on!

I would second that recommendation, had not problems with them, use them all the time for A4 - A2 prints, only word of warning is don't use their editing service, it's a waste of money.

Another vote for Lee at togsprint.
Personal service, top quality, and so keen to help out - he even edited a picture for me that I just could not get right, sent me a preview and then printed it off once I had agreed it - I have just (3 minutes ago) got an email about my latest order - time most businesses are closed for the night.
I am getting 15x10 prints for very little over what photopox charge, and without problems.
Can't do better than that !

Sounds like Photobox is good if you just want to print just your standard photos for your own use and to keep it cheap.

I guest Togsprint is better for anything over A4 and for any prints that you might be selling and for a better service which everyone seems to rate

What payment methods do Togsprint take and if i sold a print could they send direct to the person who purchased it off me

Chris

Togsprint for me as well, Lee could not have been more helpful if he had tried and the prints were super.

Hi Chris

We accept PayPal, Credit/Debit card over the phone or cash if you live locally.

And yes - we regularly ship to your clients - no problem at all!

Thanks for all the great feedback guys - we really appreciate it.

I hate photobox. It took 3 attempts at a set of wedding proofs and still couldn't get them right, so I had to go back to using the more expensive One Vision Imaging (formerly Colab) which I trust and and are quick. Just wish they were a bit cheaper.

Hi m8

but
also take a look at www.loxleycolour.com .

cost a bit more on prints , but top quality

Has anyone used Aldi? (Stop laughing, I'm being serious!)

I was at the end of year show for my Dad's course last night and a few of them had their prints done at Aldi and they seemed good, the prices on their website are dead cheap too!

Just got 42 20x30cm prints back from Aldi and I am happy with them. Ordered Sunday night and received today (Thursday) ald all for £16.00

I use a combination of Loxleycolour and ProAm.

Both are very good and the cost of the ProAm prints is excellent, although the postage is £5 minimum!

The only issue with ProAm is the fact that you need to do more to your images and be very sure that you have colour corrected the images yourself. A good colour managment system will sort that out of course and the image manipulation can be turned into a Photoshop action and batch produced if necessary.

An A4 print works out at 60p + postage. Worth it if doing a few but not really if only doing 1 at a time.

I also would steer clear of Photobox other than for family snaps.

Photbox - Never, ever again. I have now used DS Colourlabs a couple of times, more expensive than Photobox but cheaper than most othet Pro labs.

I Have just sent off for some prints on Canvas to One Vision Imaging, they have some really comprehensive software for editing/ordering/uploading - will post post experiences here.

I recently read a review of a few of the online print suppliers, sorry but can't now remember where but.... Aldi actually came out top !! I haven't personally used them though - I have used Togsprint & they were excellent !!

isnt Pro-Am imaging for trade only? The order form requires the name of your company.

I now use Loxley Colour after a couple of bad experiences with Photobox who have gone drastically downhill in the last few months imo. The Loxley prints are very good and their customer service is second to none. I also use them for my wedding albums and whilst the ROES software is a bit clunky I have been very happy with the finished product as have my clients which is all that matters.

I still mainly use Photobox & haven't really had any issues with them. The disappointing thing about the company is that it still doesn't provide ICC profiles - really can't understand this as I'm sure it would resolve some of the problems people have
