Best Prime under £250??

Hi Joe,
You really can't beat the 35mm f1.8. Only about £170 and truly great quality.
Buy one, you'll love it.

Nikon 5o f1.4 pop on the classifieds on here all the time at that sort of money.

The Sigma 30mm f/1.4 can be had for under £250 used, a nice little lens.

Great lens but the Nikkor 35mm f1.8G is a fair bit cheaper, lighter and smaller. There is less chance of back focusing with the Nikkor too. I had to send my 30mm sigma back for calibration due to back focusing but it does only effect a tiny proportion of Sigma lenses.

Yeah the Nikon 35mm f/1.8 is hard to beat and the one I'd recommend, just suggested the Sigma as I have one and maybe give the OP something different to think about. There's one on MPB Photographic for £244 right now. Really though the Nikon for the money is a steal.

You know you want a Nikon 35 AF-S f/1.8G...

MPB should have one up for sale pretty soon as they've just bought mine! ;)

Been look at 35mm primes today too, only because i have the need to buy a lens, not sure what i would use a prime for though, I like candid shots of the kids when out and about, as well as landscapes and things

The 50mm f/1.4 HSM from Sigma is superb, if you search around on ebay you may find it within budget.

flash camera are selling these for 299
and panamoz for slightly less if you pay by Bt
