Hi folks,

My sister is looking for a camera that she can use for family photos etc and whilst I was reading reviews of mirrorless camera's is occurred to me that since she'll have no desire to change lenses she migration be better with a point and shoot compact camera or even a bridge camera and I was wondering if anyone could recommend one for her that would do the job.

Her requirements are

Around £350
Wifi
Decent in low light - indoors

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

There was a thread a few days a go asking for the same thing with a budget of £300, some of the suggestions were Sony rx1, fuji xf1, x20 etc. I am on the phone app and cannot find the thread but will try in a bit.

Found it

I must admit I do love my LX3. That has now been superceded twice at least (LX7 now?) but assuming the LX7 or latest iteration is the same but a bit better it would be within budget I think and would be a fantastic camera. The only downside is that it is a little more on the bulky side for a compact, and zoom range is small (though I think ok for family pics, if indoors anyway).

Not sure about WIFI though....

The Panasonic TZ range also used to be great, but not so much for low light.

The canon G series are very good I keep hearing. Think it's on G16 at the minute.

Doesn't have WiFi but are Argos doing the good deal on the Canon EOS M?

Otherwise there may be deals on the Mk1 Canon G1X, again no WiFi, and quite a chunky camera, but a big sensor so better in low light than many.
