Yes
Anyone know if any offers on photoshop elements for a mac?

I got mine from Amazon, not a bad price. They generally don't come with manuals anyway afaik.

Looks like its for windows only, no mac edition!!

yes there is a mac version.

I think cos it was released after the windows version Adobe made a bit of a mess with their site.
Virtually every product on adobe gives you the option to select which platform you require in the drop down box. Elements however, you need to select from the blue link on the product page.
When you google Photoshop elements to get to adobe, you obviously get the windows version... Under the "Get the Trial" text on the left is the link for the mac version.

Basically HERE

Why not download the 30 days trial, then youve got 30 days to find the best price for a serial number... i think ebay will be your cheapest option still.

I'm using it on a Mac.

Got mine from Amazon, there is not a manual as such just some little getting started booklet.

The Mac version is better than the windows one as it come with a full version of Bridge CS4 on the Mac and not the silly Organizer thing windows users get.

I got mine from the Apple site, was looking at it one day and then the next day it was reduced to around £40 so snapped it up.

PC World do bundles on PE don't they?

trying to keep costs down....!

is Elements 7 ok for general low-tech PP work without going to v8

I was going to get 7 until I saw 8 for the low price. From what I was reading at the time 7 offers a lot for what you generally need.

i dont think adobe made elements 7 for mac? so therefore it would be comparing elements 6 vs 8.
In that case there are quite a few improvements that are worth it.
The basic abilities are the same, but some major imrovements. on the basis it is reguarly going for just over £40 on ebay, id go for the 8, as we are talking a few pounds difference not hundreds, and compatibity may be an issue.
