Best place to buy a Nikon D90

Prices were down to as as little as £709 a couple months ago (with vouchers) and up until recently £743 at argos.

Now, just as i come to be wanting to buy one (18th August i will be buying) all prices sky rocket and remain all at £800 :( Cheapest i can find is £779 from pixmania, but thats plus postage and id rather walk into a shop and buy it.

Any recommendations on where to buy/any good deals going?

p.s dont suppose any of the classified cameras sold on here ever go with unactivated warranty cards?

thats the body only. i think the OP was looking for the D90 kit with the 18-105mm lens.

i got mine a few weeks ago from Dixons. Jessops were slightly cheaper, but an admin error on the 'whatever happens' insurance from dixons meant 5 years 'whatever happens' cover cost roughly £60 when it should have been over £200. I'm sure they've sorted that out now though!

Ah ok, did not realise it was for the Kit, according to a price check website you can get it at Currys, £799 but can get £50 off so £749 with code CODE50, you can reserve and collect instore.

Sorry, yes, i should have clarified that. The D90 w/ 18-105mm VR lens is indeed the one i am looking for.

As to the 1st replier, i tried for that first deal with the £50 off voucher - It only applies to home delivery stuff and it is out of stock for home delivery. Phoned currys up and asked and they said they dont do the d90 for home delivery as it costs too much to risk via postal system :bang:

as above, this doesnt work as the code is only for home delivery stuff :(

Well if im competing against Currys £749 price as I cant get that low.

I could probably do £799 delivered.This would be UK stock, 2 year warranty. Free Nikon Cap as well ;)

ok i have a couple at this price but the deals change on a month basis so cant be sure to have same deal in a few weeks.

If you know anyone who's flying anywhere, Dixons Tax Free in the airport have the kit at £694 (luton, yesterday)
 
Excellent! Currys' deal on the £749 now works as they have it in stock! Will be ordering this tomorrow evening or monday when i get back! Brilliant!

Will pay the exyta £6 for delivery on the wednesday :D (bday is 18th, but i can wait an extra day :D)

Excellent mate, glad you got there in the end.

At least buying froma big high street shop you should have no troubles with warranty etc if you need it. That is main reason I try and buy from high street if I can, even is it costs a bit more.
 
Amazon have dropped theirs to £788 now with free delivery, but good luck with the Currys deal.
