Hi All,

Other than TP Forum, where else is a good place for secondhand lenses.
 
As said MPB Photographic! Used them a couple of times and been very happy with them! :)

I do have access to the Classfieds, but what im looking for isnt for sale.
 
Another vote for MPB, never had a duff item.

The classifieds on here are good, generally top price, but I have had some great bargains as well.
 
The trouble with the classifieds on here is that generally people want silly money for stuff.

Blackberry Playbook at Currys is £160, on here they're £156 inc rmsd...
Ipad 2, £400 in shops or £380 (no offers) on here.

Or the old "bought 2nd hand off here a year ago, looking to get what I paid..."

Looking around the classifieds at various things it's rare to find anything which you'd consider a good price.

I don't know - I had an 85mm f/1.8 off here for £160, when used elsewhere you'll be looking at at least £185, and i had a Siogma 14mm f/2.8 for £250, which is about £100 less than most I've seen go on the sued market.

Yes, there are some silly asking prices (saw a 70-200mm VR1 for over £1100 the other day on TP) but these generally either get lowered substantially to m set market value, or end up going onto flea bay.

Agreed though, the old "...bought 2nd hand off here a year ago, looking to get what I paid..." routine doesn't wash with me. It's worth what it's worth.

Also worth keeping an eye on AV Forums classifieds....they do get some interesting things on there. There was a mint SB-700 I missed a couple of days ago....they don't come up on here every often at all.

If the For Sale / classifieds on here don't have want you want, consider a "wanted" thread..... plenty of action in there too. :thumbs:
 
The problem I have is finding places that have a reasonably good selection of used Sony A-mount glass. The canon and Nikon offerings a re literally falling off the shelves in numbers but the A-mount gear is very thin, and when I do see some its usually not even that much of a bargain compared to getting it new anyway :(
