I use WMP and media player classic if it can't play on WMP.![]()
the only thing that ive found couldnt be opened with WMP (with the shark package) so far is a MOV encoded in apple intermediate codec which as far as i can tell is only viewable in final cut pro.
but yes id troubleshoot the WMP issues, check for WMP windows updates or repair it via add/remove would be my first suggestions.
If media player does not work then that is the best way to leave it, another micro***** product.
Another vote for iTunes here, you don't need an iPod to use it. It is just a case of finding one you get on with.
Windows Media Centre is bitc***gly good.
I'm as much a MS sceptic as everyone else (die-hard Firefox user, Skype over Windows Live anyday, etc, etc) but Win 7 Media Centre is superb.
One thing I note is some are talking Windows Media Player BUT its Windows Media Centre that is best.
agreed
