Im spending a couple of days in London's West End with the wife and camera.

Not sure which lens to take. Dont think my 70-300 will be needed so its between the nifty fifty or the 17-85, which is best for walkabout/night shots? Or do i take them all just in case

Any advise please.

when i am about in london i take a 28 and a 17-70 :)

if that helps, find that the 17-70 stays on mine almost all the time due to the streets being quite narrow the wider the better :)

hmm, good question. i try to dump anything heavy. i've got a 70-200 which is great, but a pain to carry, especially in london! i'd suggest sticking with just one lens.

I'd go for the 17-85
I took 2 lenses and was constantly faffing about swapping

Last visit I took a camera bag with a selection of lenses, but ended up only using my Canon 17-40, wide angle great for wide street shots and tall buildings etc.

Thanks for the replies.

And the winner is..... The 17-85, although the nifty fifty coming too! well its not exactly big or heavy. Everything else is staying at home.

or is it??
