Best lens for landscapes

Tough question to answer, because IMHO the spectrum of answers is as wide as.....the widest wide angle. Although I have a Samyang 14mm prime, which most people might say is great for landscapes, I mostly use the Canon 24mm TS-E Tilt+Shift to take 3 vertical frames using the shift and front-to-back d-o-f control using the tilt. Then I stitch them together in PS. Not a cheap lens, I know, but once you use one you'll never go back. The other lens I use a lot for landscape is - believe it or not - my Canon 50mm f/1.8 'nifty fifty', which I use for multi-frame stitches with the aperture wide open, or nearly, using the Brenizer method. Both unorthodox lenses for landscape, fine, but isn't that what it's all about?! :-)
