Best lens for landscape pictures? Igazu falls?

Where are you going to be shooting the falls from?

Helicopter/light aircraft or from the platform or from a position you have hiked to?

Hi Lensflare,
From a platform and also position hiked to. I will probably take to boat trip also. Not sure yet if i am going to do the helicopter but would love to. Have you taken pictures here before?

I have been there and taken some shots. There are viewing platforms on the Brazilian side and walkways close to the falls on the Argentinian side. The Argentinian side has the most variety in waterfall sizes, and you can get much closer there.

I used wider angle ~15mm for the views of the main falls looking up river, and no more than 100mm for smaller falls and other shots.

The boat rides up the river to the bottom of the falls are spectacular, but you and your camera will get wet.

Cheers

An 18-55 should do fine for Iguazu in my opinion. As a well supported tourist spot it is easy to get to different views, far or close.

For other landscapes and seascapes in Brazil or elsewhere, it is useful to have say, a 10-20mm wide-angle zoom, but that depends on how much you would use it outside of holidays.
