Hi, I not been here for a while now. I have a budget of £500-£600 for a lens.
I'm of for a mini European tour next next summer, so I would like a good carry around lens
so I can take cityscape and building pics like the Coliseum in Rome, Eiffel tower
in Paris etc.
Been looking at a few lenses, but narrowed a few down, which are the Canon 17-55 f/2.8
Canon 17-40, Tamron 24-70 (which may be out my price but sure can find it on ebay for cheaper)
and a sigma 24-70.

If you want to keep verticals parallel, a lens with movements is almost a must (although they can be corrected in PP). If you want to get as much in as possible, a UWA will help. My choice of UWA is the Sigma 12-24, which is almost insanely wide on FF and fairly wide on crop but if I was a crop shooter I would probably go for the 10-20.

I currently only own 2 lenses, only got my camera last July and got the sigma zoom lens for my safari

I got the lens that comes with the camera which is a canon 18-55 and the other one be to heavy carrying around as its the sigma 120-400
