Best iOS diary/calendar app

Hey folks. My friend Ian tells me if I buy a paper diary I am Amish and thus must embrace the technology. I want an app that I can sync between my iOS devices as well as my iMac so I can put wedding/shoot booking into it. Any suggestions what works well?
 
Apple have their own calendar which will sync or you can use a Google calendar, this will appear in a browser or in the calendar app on the iPhone. I have no idea if you can get the google calendar into software in OSX
 
Never really considered the standard one since they got rid of iCal. I shall have a play!
 
If you sync calender via iCloud it will update all iOS and OSX devices that are linked to your iCloud account. Doesn't always update instantly, may take an hour or so. I have 2 Macs i iPhone and an iPad seems to sync fine

Thanks. I had literally just turned calendar on to sync before I read this. I only had contacts set to sync previously.
 
And, since it was 'questioned' earlier, integrating google calendars to sync together with iOS and OSX all on the same one is working just fine....I've got about 5 calendar sources from different accounts/companies I work with and all integrate in one easily....With thanks to the wonderful open CalDav standard from those evil Apple and Oracle companies ;)

They didn't - they renamed it. It still works perfectly. FWIW I use 'iCal' on the Mac to sync to GCal and from there to my Android but on iOS you don't need GCal.
