Hi Guys,

I am thinking of purchasing an XT2 as i really enjoyed my previous XE2 and i'm now in a position to have both rather than choose between this and my Canon system. I was wondering since Fuji always have deals on if anyone knows whether i would be better buying new with one of these deals, buying second hand here or buying a grey import. Bundled with lenses might be another option.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Scott,

Fuji currently have a offer on at the moment where you can buy the Vertical Booster Grip for half price when bought with the Fuji XT-2.
I also believe some places around doing double trade-in prices, so £200 trade-in.

last week global had the xt2 for less than a grand. delivery is about a week and half though.
 
There's a couple been floating about on here for less than a grand. I'm not overly convinced if the merits of the grip and the seller's on here have good reputations so I know what I'd do. I was sorely tempted to buy one myself! !!
 
I will keep looking I think. Who is global? I used to use onestopdigital and another grey importer but I can't remember who they were. Delivery time doesn't bother me as I need it for July 10th to go on holiday. I remember right after I got my xe2 they had some discount deal that meant I couldn't even sell it second hand without massive losses. I'm determined to get a decent deal this time in case I don't get on with it and have to move it on.
 
Well.....if it's just a holiday camera at present why not buy a s/h one from here or MPB. You can always sell it on return and you won't lose too much. In effect you rent it for your hols.

If you decide you like it then you can either keep it or sell and buy a new one when you see the right deal.
 
I usually do that to be fair but with canon bodies you can pretty much guarantee that you'll not lose too much but as I found out to my cost fuji prices vary wildly when they have special deals on so I could lose a right few bob although I am hoping to keep this one if it's focus tracking is up to scratch.
