Hi,

as many of you have seen from other threads I'm after a 150-500 Sigma OS canon fit.
someones mentioned panamoz, just wanted to know if anyones tried them yet?
there quite cheap, I know they get all their stuff from china or japan and its all supposed to be real & genuine.

Any experiences please?
 
Hi Bradley. I bought a sigma 10-20 from panamoz in January. Ordered it on a monday afternoon, delivered on friday. Tracked the whole way by DHL. Can't say anything bad about them, my next lens will be coming from them too.

Hi Brad, I think I was the one who mentioned Panamoz in the first place and as above, I ordered mine on a monday and had it by friday, tracked all the way and for only £9.95 delivery. It was the first time I'd used Panamoz and was a bit undecided. However, I paid by Paypal so I had recourse if anything should go wrong, but nothing went wrong at all. I'm waiting now to see how much they will have the 5D3 for and I think that may be next from them.

Will also confirm with Panamoz the Warranty issue you raised.
 
Got my tracking number on 8th
Parcel shipped from hong kong and due on the 13th.

Congrats on your purchase Brad. With the warranty, at the very worst you'd have to send it back to Panamoz and they would sort the warranty claim, or send it to Sigma (Hong Kong or nearest) and they will honour the warranty. It might be away a few days extra at the most. I've so far bought 3 cameras, 4 flashguns, and about a dozen or so lenses and never had to claim under warranty for anything.
I tried my 150-500 on the wife's 550D (my first dslr) the other day and got some fantastic photos from it. They were so good I'm now debating whether to sell my 7D and 5D2 to get a 5D3 and nick the 550D back off the mrs as backup when needed.

Just wondering - did any of you have to pay import duty or suchlike?
 
No import tax or duties. I think it says this on thier website
 
Just ordered the sigma 150-500 from them myself today.
 
Yes it arrived today. I can't play with it until I get home this evening though.
 
I'm going to order a few lenses from Panamoz I think given that the international warranty is accepted in the UK. Will be limiting searches to UK suppliers for a new camera body though since international warranty for body is not recognised here.
 
I bought my camera body from bignorman ( didn't know of panamoz at the time so don't know how the prices compared) and you don't get a uk warranty so if anything goes wrong in the 3 years I would need to send it to their uk couriers and they would send it on to get repaired. You will be without a camera for longer but it's not as if you don't have a warranty at all.

I have tested my lens and it's working fine. Test shots between live view and normal are identical so the af is working perfectly. This chap landed on the fence while I was playing so managed to get a few shots off. I think he spotted me though :)

Am just bout to order 4 lens totalling £2600 tax and shipping 39quid which am happy wit, an advisor said there will be no import to pay as they cover it. Gee I'd hate to think anything would go wrong three Nikon lens and 1 sigma lens
