Hi Folks,

Need some assistance/advise for a replacement monitor. My budget is approx £270 and am looking for the best all round monitor I can find. I don't play games, and will be used for general surfing, watching movies, and also photo editing.

The few that have caught my eye are listed below. Would like to know if anyone else owns any of these or can advise/recommend any alternatives.

Acer CB270HU

Dell UltraSharp U2515H

BenQ GW2765HT

If anyone can help or advise this will be much appreciated.

Saul.

Another vote for the dell ips range. You may also want to get a screen calibrator if you don't already have one. I use i1 display pro with my dell 2209 wa's.

I already have the Dell UltraSharp U2515H on my list. As per the specs "Since each monitor is tuned at 99% sRGB" would it still need to be calibrated? as I do not own a screen calibrator. Lens Locker offer this at a reasonable price should I still need it.

We have 4 of the U2515H really like them. Obviously not the best but one of the best in there price range.

Would you say this would be a better choice over the other two in my list?

I would say yes to calibration. You also have to do it regularly as it does drift over time.

In my humble opinion yes absolutely.

On this humble opinion will go with the Dell, money saved will look for a screen calibrator. Any suggestions anyone?
