Yep, me :) not exactly the same one, but I can vouch for them being very well made.
 
Mine has a removable head, not sure if they all do? but I would have thought so.

I can't imagine a 40D with 10-22mm would be a problem. I've had my 5D and 100-400 mounted on mine and it's been fine.

It's as the different Amazon marketplace vendors run out of stock. It will normally show you the cheapest vendor who has stock available. Went it went up by £40 it was because the vendor spotted by the OP no longer had stock.

The current price is £79.95 + £8.18 shipping which, by my calculation, comes to £88.13 so matches the OP. :thumbs:
 
Not necessarily a deal buster to me. My D3 with Sigma 15-30mm is 2.14 kg, with Sigma 24-70 is just about 2.5kg - and this would be my heaviest combination. I'm just looking for some reviews from users who can say more about quality and performance.
 
It's the same head, but not the same legs. You can seperate the head from the legs on my Tripod.

Mine is also rated to 2.5Kgs and supports my 5D & 100-400L fine and the build quality is excellent.

Does it sag at all with the combination? I guess you must be using a tripod collar?

Yes, when using the 100-400L it is mounted by the tripod collar and nope, not a hint of sag. They really are very high quality tripods, much better than some Manfrotto offerings I was also considering at the time. Plus I only paid £78 for mine which was an added bonus :)
 
Thanks SMT! I got mine yesterday, my first decent tripod. I'm really impressed by how small and light it is, and it comes with a nice bag too. Seems rock solid when I tested it too. Just what I was looking for! :)
 
I've heard others say here that Microglobe in London stock these, so it might be good to head down there to try them- I've been meaning to do so for some time!
