Benro GH 2 Gimble , any useres , Help please

I have the above unit , Not used it for years since I sold my 600 F4
I now want to use it again with a 500 F4 but think I may have a bit missing ???
The question is how does it fit to the tripod , No mention in the instruction leaflet
A photo would be very helpful

Take your ballhead off the tripod and screw the GH2 on as you would a ball head.
It has the 3/8 receiver for the standard 3/8 tripod bolt.

OK bottom shot

If you unbolt and remove the metal sleeve the gimbal should just attach straight on to your tripod.

Can't for the life of me remember what I used years ago , Doh!!!
 
That collar looks like it fitted into a tripod at some point then that was locked in judging by the marks on it. half circles.

Have you ever felt like a utter nut case ? Well today I am a 100% nut case :banghead:
Some may recall an issue I had some time ago re fitting my Benro gimble to my tripod

Well after months of head scratching the penny dropped :rolleyes:

All I needed to do was take out the centre column

And drop in the gimbal

I think old age is getting to me , That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it .

That seems an odd way to mount any type of tripod head!
