Finally got round to Bempton cliffs this morning, can't believe how busy this place gets. Managed to get a picture of all the species that were there, guillemot, kittewake, razorbills, gannets and the star of the show puffin.

Thank you, wasn't the easiest with two kids and a dog to watch while trying to take photos

Very nice! Doing it while keeping an eye out on two kids is doubly impressive! I don’t think I can pick a favourite, it works really well as a set.

Any ideas on accommodation round there ,been trying to book 1 or two nights B&B and can’t find anything ,unless it’s at dick Turpin rates

You probably did Kevin, we had a beagle with us. That was our third attempt there. Previous two ended in failure, first time it was far too cold and windy and the second we couldn't get parked and parking in bempton village wasn't an option.

I do have quite a few more pics but didn't want to post absolutely everything. I really liked the razorbills never seen anything quite like them before. I'm so glad I invested in the sigma 150-600mm lens now

I remember seeing a beagle! Sorry about your previous visits and glad you made it

It's fine we only live about 45 mins away, I'm just glad we got to see all the different species. We've joined the RSPB mainly to get the kids interested while there young, they love feeding the birds in the garden.

Been a while since I've been there. Used to do a lot of sea kayaking around Flamborough Head. Seem to remember a number of pubs in and around Flamborough. Maybe worth trying them for accommodation. A quick search brings up The Viking Inn.

Going with a mate or two next weds , we will do a there and back day trip, keep the bb money for a trip to Suffolk stay at the daughters result all round

I went to Bempton yesterday, the sea mist was so thick you couldn't see the sea! Visibility was perhaps 10m

Very nice set Craig, I was there the same day so may have seen you. Not processed anything yet though

Roll on weds ,we leave wales at 5 a.m for a cross country run

A solid set, a couple could maybe do with a little brightening and another round of sharpening. The Razorbill has the best head angle and is definitely the best in the set

All things being equal Jeff, I was thinking of going there Wednesday evening, probably won't get there until tea time, and looking at the weather forecast will probably go to the North end somewhere near the double platforms. I'll bell you if I make it

I’ll be on my way back by then Mike doing a there and back , saving any B&B money towards another trip to Suffolk
