Any fellow Northern Irish people here? I'm attending my first meeting of Belfast Photo Imaging club this evening and was wondering are there any other people on here attending? I've just recently moved to Belfast and have been looking forward to this night for over a month!!
 
Im not a Belfast man I am a country boy lol, I would have attended if I had of had a bit more notice. I will have a look throught the website though, report back later and let me know what its like, if its worth a trip down every week I would definiely go.
 
Sorry i'm only getting round to updating this now. I was unable to attend last week after a bad dose of the man flu but i attended last nite and it was absolutely fantastic. There was a large group of maybe 40 or 50 of all levels of experience. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I would urge anyone in the area to attend!!
 
Here is a copy of the programme for this year. Its quite informal but still very informative. I would urge anyone in the area who has an interest to attend.
 
I never realised there was anything like this even close to me, might consider going to one at some stage.. thanks for the info!

I was there last night too! :D

I went along the first week, being a complete newbie I thought I'd feel out of my depth but it was really friendly and welcoming, so I was back last night and plan to go regularly. The more experienced seem happy to help the beginners, which is great. A good mix of informal and informative.
 
How long do the meets last for? I work in Belfast so might drop in a few evenings, am really tempted.

I was there last night myself, was only my second night... so far so good!

The program seems to be well packed! looking forward to the studio evenings...

Donki... the evenings start at 7.30 and run to around 10... really big crowds, the first night ( last week ) there was nearly 60 people... last night would of be close to it also!

What were you wearing Micky? I was sitting along the front row at the right hand side (looking at the projector screen)

Starts at 7:30pm, break for tea/coffee about 9pm, then it goes on to about 9:45-10pm.

my surnames rutherford as well so it caught my eye when i saw your username. i think i was a couple of years above you in foyle
 
sorry to take this off on a tangent but it might interest the people on here from the north-west to know that the foyle camera club is holding an exibition in aid of foyle hospice on the 17th & 18th od december in foyleside shopping centre.
