I've been here a little while, and have gleaned some great help and info but don't think I've ever done an intro.
Perhaps in one sentence I'm best described as a mid 30s, married, London based car guy. Probably inherited an interest in photography from my dad and except for a few years in my late teens, and then a frustrating lull in the mid '00s I've always used SLRs. Was using an inherited Canon AE-1 until being gifted a second hand EOS 5 in around 2001 when the AE-1 was used for occasional B+W. Moved to digital with a compact Nikon but found it very slow and annoying so eventually jumped back into the game "properly" with a 400D about 3 years ago. I've recently gone up to a 40D, keeping the 400D for my wife who is learning. The AE-1 still gets dragged out occasionally too.
As I'm into (old) cars that is mostly what I shoot but a camera normally goes with me pretty much everywhere so days out and holidays throw up lots of other things to have a go at capturing too.
Anyway, thanks for help so far and I hope I can contribute positively to this place.
