Behind the scenes in a McDonalds photo shoot

Wow, that was a great insight. I knew that's how things worked but it was good to actually see it. At least they were open about it.
 
Interesting, was surprised how much more genuine the staged one was than I would have thought.
 
Interesting, a lot less editing than I thought would be the case.
 
There's very little editing at all,to avoid any unrealistic claims. They do however use food stylists to make it look the best. I used to work with someone whose wife was one of these and he occasionally shot the results, or attended the shoots. They ended up doing a lots of a supermarkets recipe cards. He said he got very full from eating the results.
 
I've done a lot of these shoots, that video is fairly accurate but there's an enormous amount more care taken than they show in it, and we also control perspective, and the plane of sharp focus and use far more complex lighting than is shown in the video.
Then there is post processing, but no real retouching as such.
