Hi all,

I've recently been studying photography as part of my uni course and was using the nikon d3000 they supplied. I really got into this and would like to do more photography work, any ideas on an ideal camera to start with around the same sort of spec as the d3000? I don't have a lot to spend and would probably have to be second hand.

As for what to buy, if you post this question in the talkequipment subforum, along with what sort of budget you have in mind. Also, it would help to mention what type(s) of subjest(s) you like to shoot. This would narrow down the option as to what may be suitable to your needs / wants.

Otherwise, any of the known brands, Nikon, Canon, Sony etc. are excellent.
