Beginner looking for tripod advice for sports (football) footage

Hi,

I have a very humble camera - a Panasonic Lumix FZ200 with literally no accessories although I've just upgraded to a top range memory card for good video capture.

I've offered to try my hand at recording my local amateur football club for their YouTube channel.

I wondered if anyone could recommend a good tripod? I would imagine I'd need something around my height (5'11") and with good panning and maneuverability.

Any other general advice welcome.

Personally I would opt for a monopod, one with a 3 toe leg thing, over a tripod.
 
Your filming not taking photos? then yes a tripd but its not the tripod you need to choose as any really good quality one will do.. Its the head....you may be better asking in the video section ? :)
