Hi All,

I'm new to photo processing and I'm trying to broaden my knowledge. I would really appreciate some suggestions as to what you think would help improve this picture, or if it should be left as is (e.g. reason: not that good a photo lol).

Thanks in advance
Steve

Updated image as per recommendation by Much and dazzx

Image was touched up with clone and airbrush, then tone mapping and unsharpen mask was applied.

I would remove the door frame from behind the dog.

Hi Munch,

Thanks for your suggestion, I agree that the door is a little unsightly and it should be easy to clone it out!

Brilliant, it does give quite a feeling of space rather than a crammed yard. Thanks for the edit :-)

I'd sharpen the fur to bring out more detail and also consider black and white

To be honest, and please don't take this the wrong way, but I'd re-shoot. Lovely looking dog, so if it's yours, get busy!

Shooting tons of her and her bro (both mine)

Unfortunately they cannot be allowed off leash which makes it very hard take pictures of them outside, on the overhang, at home its difficult to take pictures of them without major parts of our home showing in the pictures.
