Beginner from Denmark

First a little about my self, my name is Morten and im from Denmark.
I have had a look around this forum for some time now and have allways had good fun while taking pictures. But it was allways with a pas camera so now im looking for a Dslr.
The two models i have in mind is either a Eos 550D or a D3100 both with the 18-55 mm kit lens.
Im mostly into the canon because the pas cameras i have used in the past was canons.

Btw i would be glad if you could give me some opinions about the 550D/D3100, their good and bad sides and if one model is more suited for a rookie dslr guy like me.
