A "before and after" purely to reduce appearance of slouching and remove some of the creases from jumper, a "mouseover" version can be seen here if it is easier to visualise.

C&C welcome

A nice subtle alteration which for me has improved the overall quality of the photo :thumbs:- although the original was good as all I might have done was to try and clone out the larger crease in the jumper.

I struggle with Photoshop as my attention span is quite short, did this take you very long to do?

Could you give me a clue as to what were the main tools you used; especially to lengthen out the body?

Regards

Roy

Thanks Roy, the main tools I used were layers of the relevant parts of the body with the transform tool, plus a bit of puppet warp when I changed the angle of her head as the transform tool changed the proportions a bit much. I could probably have done it with liquify but I am never happy with the results when I try it. It probably took just over an hour but I had a lot of interruptions and also had a go at designing a new watermark/copyright mark to go with it

Thanks Sarah - the one with the curlers was taken by a friend and when I saw it I thought I would like the challenge of seeing if I could change it to hair as there was so little to work with :}

Thanks Christine,

- I have followed numerous tutorials on how to use the liquify tool and it never seems to come out right for me when I try, but the tutorials always make it look so easy.......................

Interesting that you used the Transform tool, not one that I would have looked at - the Puppet Warp tool in CS5 looks good - I shall have to save up some pennies to upgrade though.

Just looked at the 'curlers' and that was very good seeing as you had very little to work on. :thumbs:

I prefer the others on your web site, some good work there. In this one her left arm/hand seems to have got fatter in the edit and has thus gone out of proportion to the rest of her body.

Thanks for pointing this out Vaughan, I have now corrected it (layer and puppet warp)

Ben, I can always see differences better with a rollover as well, I just sit there looking at other people's a tiny bit at a time to see what has been done - they can be a great learning tool. I just wish I could find a "tidier" way of getting them into Wordpress

Roy, play with the transform tool, I think it is much underrated by many. Often it helps to keep the outside lines straight and just move the inner ones (depending on the subject of course)
