Okay, so Im being dragged along to Wagamama's tomorrow evening, and without wishing to sound on the unadventurous side, I really dont fancy it!

Anyone been? got any tips on dishes? any must try/must avoid's?

wagas rock!

Have you checked out an online menu or something?
Do you do chinese? there's some dishes that are very similar to chinese iir

Cheers Oli,
Ill do a Google now ... oh and yeah, I do like Chineese.

Mmmmm!!! beer, at least there'll be something Im sure to like then! :D

no worries

Gyoza is like some steam dumplings found at Dim Sum at chinese reataurants.
Cha Han is like a fried rice

most noodle dishes are served in a bowl of broth/soup (soup noodles) the teppan is like stir fried and is like a chow mein (or fried noodles dish)

hope this helps... it hasnt helped me as I'm feeling peckish now:bonk:

Its only noodles, noodles that's designed for Westerner's taste even, there are no weird ingredients in there. just go for it.

I've come home from a nice day out to London, had Chinese for lunch and now this is getting me hungry all over again.

Wagamama is , sadly I don't recall the names of any of their dishes; but if you like Chinese food then I am sure you will like it. One of the dishes I love there is the Tirriaki (sp.) Salmon.

I've only been to Wagamama's once but I really enjoyed it. The Duck Gyoza is mouth-wateringly good (deep-fried duck and leek dumplings served with a spicy cherry hoi sin sauce) as a starter or side dish and as specialman said the Chicken Katsu curry is very tasty.

Like you I didn't really fancy it but I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely go back for seconds.

Ta muchly peeps,
I'll make a note of the suggestions and take them along with me.
Mind you, dont know what Im worrying about ... seem to be coming down with the dreaded lergy so I probably wont taste a damn thing!

Have a watch of this from about 12:50 onwards. That should give you a rough idea of what sort of food they serve at Wagamama and what to expect.

I must be the only person I know that would never set food in a Wagamama ever again. Ate there once and every dish seemed to be noodles in a bowl of vaguely yellowish water with a couple of bean sprouts and a lettuce leaf thrown in for good measure :(

Not for me, sorry

Oh and I lurrrve Chinese ;)

i think its good but as someone who struggles with spice i found my choices limited. But what i have had ive enjoyed

and you cant go wrong with a large tiger beer

Chicken Katsu Curry and Chilli Chicken Ramen are my particular faves, and the wife swears by their White Chocolate & Ginger Cheesecake! :D
