Hi,

Not been funny but you're not doing something right if you can't get a decent photo in North Wales, especially with the decent weather we've had:shrug: You need to book on one of my Snowdonia workshops;)

Seriously though, what's been the issue with the shots you've taken?

Simon

Well this time of year is not the best, long hours of sunlight mean the light is harsh and too contrasty when most people are up and about and the light is unflattering.

You need to be up early or finish late to get the best from it

Hi,

As Steve-T has pointed out i think it is the sunshine.
Got up early this morning and took a walk up a mountain in Caerwys and got some better shots.
Im interested in joining one of your workshops Simon, i have a static caravan in Wales so me and my wife are down here most weekends.
In the next few weeks we will be down for a whole week so could you please PM me details of you workshops and prices and we can sort a date out.

As Steve mentions lighting is difficult during the summer months, haze is about much of the time which together with the high sun does make life difficult....clouds are always good as they create shadows as well as variation in light which creates contrast and makes shots much more interesting. PM on its way

I would also just add that its well worth coming to north Wales in the winter esp when there's snow on the hills :)
