Damn you all, evil tempters. A sausage butty is all I need..... oh, and a nice little rangefinder... and a 25mm Nokton lens for my Voigtlander......aaaahhhhhh

You are missing an FX digital camera, an FX digital rangefinder, a medium format film camera, c'mon!

I now have a sausage butty, very thick, lots of butter. I am now going to go to e-bay, wish me luck everyone...

All of the World's problems can be solved with sausages... or bacon.... preferably in bread.

Time for chocolate and whisky :banana:

I was looking for something medium format the other day and a couple of Brewdog Hardcore IPAs later I'm the owner of a Cambo 4X5 :) with 120 back so still medium format :)

Do eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!

Andy, if you could buy me a Nikkor 20mm AF-D while you're at it, that'd be great! Thanks fella! :D

Once you've sorted out the 20mm, wouldn't mind a Rolleiflex TLR please. 2.8 or 3.5 if you want, I'll even let you choose  :D

Ha, you're all to late the sausages worked their magic and I sobered up enough to remember the words of an old wise woman who said "if you buy any more cameras I'll give you such a slap......" etc, etc.

I know what he means about going onto ebay when you've had a drink. This morning a Minolta Dynax 7, with the 24mm lens and the 24-105 lens, rose from about £150 to finally going at £311. I was watching but lost interest as the price rose and rose. Mind if the closing time had been about 9pm tonight, and after a couple of cans, then £311 would have been no obstacle whatsoever.

Just for information's sake, what part of that bundle is worth the £311? Or is the lens compatible with Sony alpha cameras or something? Don't really know about the Minolta/Sony system.

Three things -

1 Computers should have a breathalyser to deny access when inebriated. A keyboard with this feature, I believe this would be a good one for Dragons Den.

2 Actually I've never been let down by Ebay. I've always been happy with the purchase when received, all-be-it not all purchases have been wise (with hindsight).

3 You never get a bad sausage. Nuff said !

The Dynax 7 usually sells for at least £150 as its an excellent AF SLR and Minolta AF lenses (apart from the kit zoom lenses which are also excellent) have quite a high value because they are easily equal to Canon or Nikon and some of them such as the 70 - 210mm f4 'Beercan' are legendary. Build and optical quality was always excellent. In the mid 80's to late 90's Minolta was actually equal to Canon or Nikon in reputation. They also produced the first 'proper' AF SLR, the Dynax/Maxxum 7000 in 1985 which set the benchmark for other cameras to follow.

Yes they are exactly the same system as Sony lenses because Konica Minolta sold their camera division to Sony in 2006, who inherited all their technology.

freecom 2, as s162216, says their lenses are very good and will fit with the Sony Alpha sustem. The Dynax 7 - dealers asking about £150; same price for the 24-105D lens; as regards the 24mm lens I could not say what price is being asked for those. I believe the 24-105D lens, when new, was over £200.
The Dynxa 7 has an LCD screen on the rear, and the camera can be mistaken for a digital.

Watched *bay auction last night whilst a Contax N1 with the N mount zoom lens was up.Chained my hands to the chair so I could not get near the keypad. It went for about £350. What a bargain.

Yes, and last night, Monday, did not have so much to drink. Got busy in the garden, and forgot all abour ebay. On site this morning, and there in my watch list was the Contax N1 body(no lens) which went for £102 last night. Bloody gardening, and the wife spends all, (or most) of my money on food and her clothes.:gag:

Kept off ebay the other night, due to a couple of drinks. What did I miss, a Nikon F4S which went for £79-00.

Dont do it!!! Save your money and keep drinking

I dont know what they big deal is here, I make all my best ebay purchases when drunk...?!

yeah like that guy who bought a midget submarine

So ...? It had a waterproof camera attached to the periscope, therefore he must have got a bargain. Rumour has it that it was a waterproof Hassie, or a Leica. I heard it was a Box Brownie.

I bought a set of very spangly wheels that wouldn't even fit my car once. Had to tuck my tail between my legs and email them the next morning with huge apologies.
