Been a bit naughty.......

Despite a severe lack of funds and numerous birthdays coming up let alone christmas, I succumbed to my.urge to spend!

I bought a 50mm 1.4 mark II prime lens! It should arrive tomorrow, am so excited!!

Now just need to figure out a way to tell my husband about my lack of financial discipline! Lol!

Am looking forward to using it to explore the as yet unknown-to-me territory that is portraiture! Any advice or tips??

Enjoy your new purchase. A lot of my purchase's are impulse and really do sting my bank, but by the time the next pay rolls in ive forgotten about it

haha, its usually the man doing this and worrying about the consequences, just tell him it was because you needed retail therapy to avoid his suffering

Its a cracking little lens i love it can be used for mutch more than just portraits .Tell you husband it was eather this or a pair of shoes you only use once lol (expect a slap for that) used mine tonight to get some fireworks shots at a display here a pic for you from this great little lens

My new lens is here - its a 1.8 not the 1.4 so thats all good!

Cant wait to go and have a play with it!!

I've just spent £180 on tripod & head and I'm keeping schtum.

Makes for a happy household

You sound a lot like my wife!! Except in her excitement she has been known to leave the price tag on the clothes and she gets caught out!
