I have some topside at home. Was going to roast it later but as out Wong have time. If I cut it into steaks will they be tough as old boots or fine?
 
Nah, doesn't make very good steaks I'm afraid. Will be chewy/stringy/tasteless.
It needs cooking slowly if roasting, makes great burgers/mince. Cubed then fried and simmered in half a can of mushroom soup/milk is one of my favourites.

biltong rules... though I am experimenting with venison.. (deer is similar to springbok?_
