I hired an Icelandic mountain guide who did the safety stuff on Bear Gyrylls in Iceland and apart from telling us about the big 4X4 which ferried him to and from the hotels during the shoot, our guide told us how when he was asked how he would have crossed the river( a raging glacial outflow), he(the guide) was told that his method ( and he's written a book on Icelandic survival techniques)was not TV enough and they then shot it in a completely gratuious bare chested manner which made the rest of the guides laugh! It also showed there was no continuity in the shooting of the journey as the river location was picked for its danger( and it was a dangerous shoot apparently,so no reflection on his bravery).
