be gentle...

Welcome - I'm new too.

Everyone is really friendly and easy to get on with from what I've seen.

Great pic too!

Hi Lee

Welcome to TP

Like the shot but for me its 2 halves, cut in half by the tree, although I do like the sun rays, think I would have gone for this shot

I really do like that, not a huge fan of the huge black bars at the top and bottom, but the photo itself is lovely, amazingly atmospheric and I actually like the composition, it could easily be a still from some super high budget movie. Brilliant :)

Hi Karl, i normally post on POTN but the more UK based talk seemed appealing! Glad you like the pic, what do you like to shoot?

Hi Dave, thanks for the warm welcome, I think your crop suggestion is too tight IMO I liked how you have to look at the photo to discover the detail - but that's the magic of photography!

Hi Jimmy, the black bars seem to divide opinion, sometimes I use them other times not - it was a magical morning and I did feel lucky to witness it!

Hi Lee, I'm just starting out so not sure what I'll enjoy shooting yet to be honest!

But if I could take something like that I'd be well chuffed!!

welcome along!

Hi Lee.

amazingly good capture.

No black lines for me too, I'm afraid but tee composition & lighting is spot on IMO.

Beautifull shot, Lee. I agree that TCIK's crop improves it though.
If you keep posting work of that quality you'll have plenty admirers.

Welcome. Beautiful light in your capture.

Thanks Erik! what a friendly bunch you all are! :)

Well.

I'll probably be corrected but No 1 doesn't work for me as there is not much sharpness to any of the forms but that could be brought back with PS. If that was your intent tho, then it has obviously worked.

No 2 - If you could lose the chap & the car, I think that would be a great improvement. They should clone out quite easily.

It looks very appealing, well lit & well balanced and possibly a better shot than the 1st.
