You don't have to like Doctor Who to appreciate this - it's brilliantly made and easily stands up on its own. One of the best things I've seen for ages, a 90-minute gem.

Wasn't knocking it sorry, just amused at being caught out.

I still remember hiding being my dads chair on b&w TV ... proper scared! lol

just watched it last night, brought back memories, yes you're right it was excellent.

Absolute heaven, who needs all those special effects, when a programme is plot driven, with superb actors and story.

Not to mention the huge attention to detail and lovely photography, including some terrific shots of the legendary Television Centre.

(Whoever decided to sell off Television Centre should be strung up - it's an absolute disgrace).

This was brilliant. Great casting too... apart from whoever thought casting Reece Shearsmith as Troughton was a good idea... they need a good slap.
