BBC 4 tonight

Yep, saw it. I now know I can fit a flash unit to my S9500. I had been told it wasn't possible.

The lady tog had a bit of trouble getting to grips with her Olympus though. Some of the pics she took in the supermarket were pretty good.

Not sure I liked any of the pics taken with the Rioch. Is 10secs a long time for a raw file to be written to the card?

[S4]Nice one BBC4[/S4]

That is quite long.

I watched the first one, and had a little flick through the one from last week (not watched it all yet). Am looking forward to when they get anywhere near the North West (or are they not?)

it was rubbish and pointless. noddy and big ears could have done better.

Lol. Last night's programme is still waiting on my Sky+ for me to watch it, but the series has only been okay not great.

The way it treats digital as though it is a gimmick which no professional would ever use unless forced on them by a film crew is a bit bizarre really.

Michael.

A lot of people seem to think that, having only ever seen the silver, match-box sized digicams that most people carry around. Wierd to have it portrayed like that on TV though.

Haven't actually seen the program though, so I can't talk really :P

This is the 2nd series :)

Indeed it is. Its not too bad, worth 30 minutes of your time. To be honest though, i think i prefer watching paperazzi when its on. I wish they would make some more photography related programmes though, i bet plenty would watch them!!

Not many hobbies are catered for on TV though really,

No pigeon fancying,
No railway enthusiasts,
A few collectors,

Half an hour is hard to fill with stuff relevant to all abilities though.

I watched the first series and generally juts got the impression it was more about willy waving competition between professional togs than actual useful, salient and relevant information.

But come on, photography is more mainstream than any of that stuff. Think how many people in this country own a camera! Even if only a few % of those are actually interested in photography as a hobby, you've got a large audience.

Additionally, when friends and family see your photos, do they not ask how they can improve their shots from the usual wonky snapshot? A lot of people are interested in photography and how to improve their techniques

Anyone give me time and day so I can sky+ it. I watched the first series and whilst it was ok, it was good to see something like it finally on tv

Is it me but do the TV camera crew normally find better shots than the pros?

The travel channels show loads of railway related programmes, or at least they used to.

Michael.
