Hi
Off on a cruise to top of norway in december hoping to catch the northern lights.
Its going to be cold -10 to -20 degrees, now I know battery life will be shorter in those cold temps but how much shorter.
If all thrree of my batteries are fully charged before leaving the ship approx how long will each last, I know it will depend on how often the shutter is pressed etc but just a ball park figure or will I need more batteries

Can't help with how long they will last but can only suggest that instead of leaving charged batteries in a camera bag, you wrap them up warm and put them in your pocket close to your body before use.

Yes I have read that and thats what I will be doing, thanks for the reply

Based on the data given, I'd allow for 20% less life, but you may be pleasantly surprised.

If you have 3 fully-charged batteries and are only leaving the ship for a day on shore then you'll have no problems at all. Just keep them close to your body as already suggested.
Malc, who lives in Norway...
