So I gets me one of these here Battery Grips - not entirely convinced I will get on with it, but I got for my first shoot with it on and the thing that's bugging me is the camera strap.

I have a sling strap attached to the bottom of the grip where the tripod would go, so when I hold the camera in portrait mode , my hand is on the trip attachment.

So - those of you who have a grip - how do you secure your strap?

Lenses I use are not large enough to have a tripod bracket (e.g. 85mm prime is favourite)

Thanks in advance

Brian

I use an L bracket when the grip is on and I attach my Black Rapid via an Arca mount to the left side of the L (looking at the back of the camera).

That avoids the issue with portrait mode and also means I can put the camera down "normally" on a surface without the BR attachment causing it to fall over. It's slightly Heath Robinson and a bit heavier than it needs to be... but then the camera isn't particularly light especially with a grip!

That's an interesting way Paul - thank you. Dont mind heath robinson - I hope people are looking at my images not my camera!
Any others?
thanks
