Hi
I'm looking for a battery powered flash system which is in the price range of around 400 quid. However after a look online I can't seem to find any could you recommend any. Also I was wondering is there a power pack I can plug a normal studio flash in?

Thanks
Jake

I'm not sure what relevance the camera has...

There are plenty available, from the Lencarta Safari Classic at £639, then the Lencarta Safari Li-on at £799, then the Quantum Qflash at £1326, Elinchrom Ranger Quadra at £1489, Bowens Gemini 250R travelpak at £1469, Lumedyne Signature 400 at £1752. Profoto Acute B2 600 at £2725, Elinchrom Ranger RX at £2034 - and then the really expensive ones after than.

If your budget is carved in stone then I believe that Viewfinder are selling a cheap one. And yes, there are plenty of powerpacks that you can plug a mains powered flash into, but they all have their limitations in terms of number of flashes and recycling time.

I'm looking at a interfit stellar extreme kit, do you know what the recycle time on lowest power is being used on the battery

You could try the Dual power Quantuums from Poland (no duty or tax as ECC country). I have one of each of the 300w/s 254.54 euros and 600w/s 358.54 euros units. They come supplied with a battery and mains leads, and take Bowens S fit accessories.

Cool they look good what's the recycle time on lowest power?

Right ok they look fantastic good review btw, but the only thing that bothers me is I can't get them in the uk, that's why I was looking at the interfit stellar xtreme kit

Thanks for your reply but I want a actual flash head not a gun but thanks anyway

What a prat I am, sorry, will learn to "read" next time.

It probably isn't what you are wanting but I use these for my work, I stumbled across them by accident and have never looked back.

I also take it into fields....................

And wildlife in my garden....................

100% truly PORTABLE studio lights...Oh and I have never had a recycle time more than 4 seconds, usually the same 3s as my Metz.

What amazed me was the price, less than a flashgun, it is incredible.

Well I have been considering flashguns but don't think it will work with what I want to do
