I saw a thread on this a while ago and can't find it now... Can anyone recommend some decent rechargeable AA's to use in a Canon Speedlite 430exII? Sadly the current disposable Duracell's aren't quite lasting as long as I need and are certainly not good for the environment.
:ty:

Sanyo Eneloop 2000mAh.

As above or you could try the 7dayshop good to go ones.

I use the 7dayshop 2900Mah AA's and have been doing for over 2 years now, so far they all still hold their charge well, last a long time both in and out of the flashes and are great value. I got well over 600 shots from one set before the refresh time dropped too much and the wife had some in her flash for over 3 months without using them and they were still good to go.

I've got Eneloops (1900, 2450), Duracell Stay Charged, Duralock and some 7day shop 2900's. They all work well but I seem to get a little longer life from the eneloop xx and duralock's before they need charged even though the 7day shop ones have a higher rating.

Another vote for Eneloops in Speedlights. I aso bought a Technoline BL700 smart charger, if your buying decent batteries it seems to make sense to charge them individually and this seems to add to their longevity.

+1 for this. I use eneloops with the technoline charger and so far they're still performing as well as they did 2 years ago.

Thanks for all of your replies. Seems like the eneloops or 7dayshop ones are the way to go. I'll have a google. Thanks again!
