Having lit the rayburn ealier this week I now have loads of hot water, dunno what it's like where you lot are but it's turned damn cold here
So have come home from work was going to have a shower as I am off out tonight .
Walking into the bathroom with the intention of showering, I decide that the bath looks just too inviting, so had a nice long soak in a piping hot bath, now feel all clean and relaxed :D, shame no one about to wash my back.
In the hot summer I much prefer a shower, but now and again on a cold winter's day there really is nothing better then a nice hot bath in my view, so what do you all prefer ?

Bath - always seem to be chilly stepping out of a shower.

Nothing like a good wallow in the winter  With a good book and a g&t

Piping hot bubble bath just before bed, shower in the summer if it is baking, night and morning.

Always got loads of hot water so bath never gets cold

Shower for me - unless my back is playing up then its a bath with bubbles :$

 Oooopps too much info there for a man

Shower by default, bath after spending the day doing stuff that makes my back and the rest of me ache. Like standing out marshalling on a race circuit or airfield, or (as today) installing loft insulation.

Shower.

Baths are nice for aches and pains but I always feel 10 times colder having got out of the bath than I did before I got in. I just don't understand the warm and relaxing argument.

shower, if you have a bath you still need to shower afterwards to do your hair!

During the working week, I have a quick power shower before getting to bed. Have to do that nearly every evening as I work in a dirty steamy hot smelly tomato greenhouse, it's worse in the summer when I work up a real sweat.
However, where I rarely work weekends, I have a long relaxing radox-fuelled bath on a Saturday morning. Always seem to help set me up for the weekend.

shower, i hate it when my hands go wrinkly in the bath.

Shower.....it uses less water, energy etc (remember, we are all meant to be trying to save the planet )

I do like a hot bath every now and then to relax though...

Actually, we tried an experiment here at mucky mansions a few months ago - shower with the plug in the bath. I did my usual stuff, wash, hair shampoo, hair conditioner, razor over legs and he just did a normal blokes shower [whatever it is you lot do in there :whistling: ]

I used the same amount of water I would use in a bath, he used marginally less, BUT when he bathes, he does have it overflowing, [ :bonk: ] so based on a normal person, he also used the same amount of water.

I know what you mean.....we used to have a full flow shower head and this used tons of water (over 20 litres per min). I switched to an Eco shower head that aerates the water to give the impression of a good flow but only uses about 7 litres per min.....huge saving in water and engery to heat that water.

After a game of Football or training - Shower after match then home into bath with that Raddox Bubbles

Any other time - Shower for no more than 5-8 mins.

A seriously hot shower 90% of the time, the only time I get near a bath these days is when the tyke needs a good soaking.

I sweat regularly so have no need of a bath or a shower.

Bath all the way, every night ... lots of bubbles .. love it. Shower in the morning or after gym.

i did my bathroom up a couple of years ago and fitted a nice big power shower which is lovely
also fitted a jacuzzi bath but that rarely gets used as by the time you wait for it to fill up you have had your shower and out getting dried

Definitely a power shower lover, but couldn't live without the bath being available for long soaks after the rare days when I toil.

Shower, every time. For so many reasons.

Not least of which is the fact we chucked out the bath about ten years ago and installed a chuffing big shower.

Norty. The lot of you. Bath when time permits.

Avec TP on the iPad :D

For many years I used to holiday in Bulgaria (had friends who lived there). Every hotel I ever stayed in had no plug for the plug hole in the bathroom wash basin, and at the time a bath tub was extremely rare. My friends explained to me the reason was that a shower was more hygenic, and a bath meant that you were washing in your own dirt.
Just thought I'd put my pennyworh in.
Bye the way (off topic). 2blue4u mentioned "chuffing" - what does it mean?

I like a good bower!

A long hot bath to relax in and soak the aches and pains out of my bones, followed by a shower to rise off the human stock created by an hour or two of soaking. In an ideal world, it would be a power shower (and will be once we get the plumber here to sort a new boiler) but for now a gravity one with about 1.5m head will have to do. There are 2 things I miss when we're on holiday in Crete - flushing paper down the bog and a proper bath.

Shower all the way. Not possible to get clean in a bath.

yup. That and the fact that I always feel like I am about to faint after I am in a bath. Not a nice feeling :gag:

Pictures Ingrid!!!!!! How can we be expected to give you an opinion without seeing pictures of you in both the bath and the shower?

I think this might help you Yv -

How To Shower Like a Woman -

Take off clothes and place them sectioned in laundry basket according to lights and darks.

Walk to bathroom wearing long dressing gown.

If you see husband along the way, cover up any exposed areas. Look at your womanly physique in the mirror - make mental note to do more sit-ups / leg-lifts, etc.

Get in the shower.

Use face cloth, arm cloth, leg cloth, long loofah, wide loofah and pumice stone.

Wash your hair once with cucumber and sage shampoo with 43 added vitamins.

Wash your hair again to make sure it's clean.

Condition your hair with grapefruit mint conditioner enhanced with vitamins. Wash your face with crushed apricot facial scrub for 10 minutes until red.

Wash entire rest of body with ginger nut and jaffa cake body wash. Rinse conditioner off hair.

Shave armpits and legs.

Turn off shower.

Squeegee off all wet surfaces in shower.

Spray mould spots with tile cleaner.

Get out of shower.

Dry with towel the size of a small country.

Wrap hair in super absorbent towel.

Return to bedroom wearing long dressing gown and towel on head. If you see partner along the way, cover up any exposed areas.

How To Shower Like a Man -

Take off clothes while sitting on the edge of the bed and leave them in a pile.

Walk naked to the bathroom.

If you see partner along the way, shake willy at her making the 'woo-woo' sound.

Look at your manly physique in the mirror.

Admire the size of your willy and scratch your bum.

Get in the shower.

Wash your face.

Wash your armpits.

Blow your nose in your hands and let the water rinse them off. Fart and laugh at how loud it sounds in the shower.

Spend majority of time washing privates and surrounding area. Wash your bum, leaving those coarse bum hairs stuck on the soap.

Wash your hair.

Make a Shampoo Mohican.

Wee.

Rinse off and get out of shower.

Partially dry off.

Fail to notice water on floor because curtain was hanging out of bath the whole time.

Admire willy size in mirror again.

Leave shower curtain open, wet mat on floor, light and fan on. Return to bedroom with towel around waist.

If you pass partner, pull off towel, shake willy at her and make the 'woo-woo' sound again.

Throw wet towel on bed.

Best wishes,

Tracey
