Batch edit?

Hi, I use CS5 and I have hundreds of photos that I want to resize, sharpen and email to friends and family. I've just learnt how to record and use actions but is there a way to batch edit/ resize?

Create and save an action. Go to File->Automate->Batch and run the action on your selected folder.
