Hello everyone, hope youre all okay.
Ive recently had a thread as i dropped my Nikon 18-55mm lens and killed it off
However, ive decided what I think I want to do... but want some advice that im not wasting money on lenses that do similar functions.
Im an amateur in every sense of the word, bu got to start somewhere! So im taking this opportunity to try and move around in terms of lenses and break away from the kit lenses if possible.
Ive got a Nikon D3000 (with no intention of changing the body at this stage).
Ive been looking at the Nikon AF-S 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR DX from ParkCameras @ £194.00 (http://www.parkcameras.com/9997/Nikon-AF-S-18-105mm-f-3-5-5-6G-ED-VR-DX--White-Box-.html) and think this will be a great step up from the 18-55 but also enough to satisfy what I need in terms of length without needing the Tamron monster lens I also got with my kit (hoping to maybe sell this).
However, I also enjoy shooting landscapes and really wanted a wide angle lens.
So as well as the Nikon 18-105 ive also been looking at this one from Jessops.
Nikon 28mm f2.8 AF D

Would this lens be a good wide angle lens for an amateur trying to get better, or does it do the same function as the 18-105 and id be wasting money?
Im not looking to spend top money on a lens. Id be happy with just the 18-105mm,but if i can get a wide angle lens from Jessops, i could apply for their 10 month 0% finance and get the wide angle + UV, a polarising filter for the 18-105mm and a couple of protective bags. Thats my thinking anyways.
Hope that makes sense, thanks in advance for any advice given.
