God willing I will make it through another year, directory set up and ready for lift off.

Week 1 - Lines and Angles, tech framing.

Lines on shed and lines created by fence taken from low angle to incorporate lots of fence shadow lines with 90 degree angles.
Name sign framed and framed portrait - shadow of photographer.

You could have tagged this with the technique too I feel, as the fence does a pretty good job of framing the coffee and donuts.
Shot like that it looks like a large factory until you look closely. A clever shot :)

I may have been tempted to clone out your shadow, just to give it a cleaner feel.

Thanks for the kind words Tim,

took a bit of messing about to get it just so,

glad you like it,

Added the tech to thread post,

Good start and nicely framed, great colour in sky. Agree about cloning out the shadow

The orange and the blue work really nicely together. I too would have probably removed my shadow, but that's just a me thing.

Took me ages to get that shadow on the rule of thirds in its own frame. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
Its my favorite bit !

That's not a million miles away from me! Always seems to be shut on sunny days! Good picture for the theme and tech!

Thanks all for taking the time and trouble to comment, I will be less contentious in the future. :)

Yep - that does both nicely :)

Nice colourful shot Wayne. I might have cropped a bit off the left hand side if I'd taken it. I don't mind your shadow at all.

Rust and Decay

Alternative

I like both images, but the first leans into the theme a little more, due to the subject matter. I like that there are bright flowers in the midst of the destruction.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Week 3 - Windows and doors.

Simplicity is the order of the day in this shot. I liked the negative space on the wall and tried to frame the window on the rule of thirds within the building, I could not quite make it work. I chose the orientation to reflect the shape of the window.

Is that you with the shorts on Wayne? :D
I had to look closely before I posted it as at first I thought it was a nude girl posing for the photo. :)

I had on me thermals and waterproof trousers, I use that term in the loosest possible way, and had been riding sat in a puddle of water for a an hour or two. Its a two person job to get my boots off never mind my trousers, which takes planning, coordination and diligence.

We got soaked. :ROFLMAO:

This one is me and was considered as a possible, but I spoil the shot :) , I just wanted the bikes reflected in the window.

Week 3 - Windows and doors Alt.jpg

And no I was not wearing an apron. :)

I like the simplicity and the textures in the stone.
If it was my photo, I would have may be cropped a bit off of the bottom.

Week four - Something Broken

Week 4 - Something Broken.jpg

A few broken things here, the light, the Collage from broken tiles is itself broken

Week 4 - Something Broken-2.jpg

And a broken society where vandalism is permanently on display, more or less everywhere you go.

Well seen and works perfectly for the theme (with a bonus double meaning).

Good spot ;)
