I've been wondering the same, only thing I can see is probably build quality, but not something I see being used all the time.
I once did a bit of tuition with a tog who used some cheap stuff from a ebay seller and he highly recommended the stuff.
Not a large sum if they are great!

I one bought some fleabay ones, Elinchrom fit, they were perfectly OK and a fraction of a price of the branded product - but I've also seen cheap ones that look like they will drop to bits the first time they're used.

I've bought some cheapies from eBay and quite frankly it has been money down the drain.
They still work but only just. The main problem is the mechanism for attaching to the reflector is cheaply made and not well designed.
The idea of Lencarta of supplying a reflector is a good idea as you can ensure the doors fit. My reflector is slightly warped!

Yeah, they're all the same. Just sheets of cheap metal on a crappy hinge. Don't spend to much.
