Was out shopping at tesco earlier, and noticed that they sell a foil backed camping mat. It is blue foam, with one side covered in a lovely silver foil, which would be a perfect reflector.

Dimension wise, it is probably 50 cm ish by about 180cm - width of a person lying down and about 6ft long. You would obviously need to have an assistant to hold it at that size, but it would easily cut into 2 or 3 more useable size peices.

Anyway, the cost - just £4.50. For potentially 3 50cm square reflectors, you can't go wrong.

Great find
Ideal for starting off on a tight budget...

windscreen reflectors for your car work in a pinch too, poundland do them :)

I have just been thinking, and reckon that you could make a simple softbox with this and some white material.

Is a 50cm softbox worth it?

Ive got one from poundland, white foam on one side, silver on the other similar size too, two reflectors in one! for a quid!!!

I picked up my 150cm 5 in 1 reflector off eBay for £15, now that's a deal :) I went into Calumet the other day, 80cm 2 in 1 reflector for £28! I was shocked!

It's good to have some rectangular reflectors as well, may have to check out this Tesco deal but having someone holding it is a bit of a pain, rather get one with a stand.
